Scene - The actual BDSM activities or encounters that take place are known as a scene.

I have never actually called our encounters a scene. I have called them sessions or play time. The word scene sounds very one act play ish...if that makes sense. I guess there might be a time where we set up a scene... but for me its been sessions. Maybe its because I feel like I'm still learning half of the time...

CSI - I use the word scene solely in the context of a dungeon or a play party. It is planned out and limited in both time and scope. Otherwise I figure it can expand and change if in a home or a personal context
