The general consensus seems to be Love, however, I disagree. Now hear me out; Nothing in the initial question states whether or not this is in a relationship, it is just assumed to be that way. In a relationship, love absolutely above respect, but strictly speaking as a Dom? Respect comes first.
If a Sub does not respect you then you have failed, because without it you cannot dominate. They can still love you, adore you, worship you, and not respect you. They will bend over backwards for you, but only when they feel like it, only when it suits them. But if you have their respect? They will bow at your feet with the snap of your fingers. That, I believe, is the difference. |
