What’s The Point?

What’s The Point?

Recently I came across a post in a submissive’s only group on that other site that a slave commented on referring to herself as “it” and “the bitch”. The moderator of the group advised her that it was “distasteful” to “force your dynamic” on others in the group and to speak in first person or don’t comment at all.

I’ve never looked at it this way, but I figured I’d get some of your opinions. If the commenter had insisted that others refer to her as “it” or “bitch”, I could understand the argument that she was forcing her dynamic on others and would agree with the moderator. However, I don’t see what the commenter did as any different than referring to your Dom as Sir or Daddy for example. Also, what’s the point of being in a sub group if you can’t even be accepted in your role as a sub?

Anyone else care to weigh in on this? I’m interested in all opinions.

Oh and you might be wondering “B&C, why didn’t you bring up this point at that time?” Well I would have loved to but in that group disagreeing with the moderator is not permitted (you will be banned) no matter how respectfully done. So I never comment. I just read.

Disagreeing with the moderator gets you banned 😂 But to your point, I don’t see this as a problem. If you were in a Christian Moms group about, I dunno, crafts then yeah that’s a problem. I don’t see it being much different than someone choosing their personal pronouns. If I want to call myself a toaster, then that doesn’t mean everyone else has to be a toaster, or even use toasters. I actually prefer an air fryer. So um…I am still more concerned with this disagreeing and get banned thing!

Yeah I thought it was an odd thing to reprimand someone for. It’s a kink site and that’s not the most unusual term I’ve heard someone refer to themselves as. But now you have me tempted to post and refer to myself as an air fryer just to see what happens. 😂

The moderator is pretty uptight. Really hammers the point that the group is not a support group and doesn’t seem to mind kink shaming others. Anyone disagreeing with her are considered “assholes” all are banned. 🙄

Let me preface this by saying I have nothing against toasters. I mean, they’ve given us some good times—popping up toast with the precision of a bread magician. But let’s be real, the age of the toaster has come to an end.

Versatility: Toasters? They toast. End of story. But the air fryer? Oh, it can do EVERYTHING. Need toast? Done. Want crispy fries? You got it. A whole chicken? In this economy?? Yes, even that. The air fryer is like the Swiss Army knife of kitchen gadgets, while the toaster is… a butter knife.

Health Benefits: Toasters offer toast. Okay, toast is great and all, but the air fryer can make everything your deep fryer does—minus the oil and guilt.

No Unexpected Burn Marks: Toast has betrayed us all at one point or another. One second it’s a perfect golden brown, the next it’s a piece of coal. The air fryer, however, respects your food.

Capacity: Toasters, You get two slices. Four if you’re fancy. Air fryers? You can toss in enough food to feed a small army. Not that I’m suggesting you start one, but it’s nice to have options.

The Pop-Up is Overrated: Sure, that toaster pop is satisfying, but air fryers make a sound too—one that says, “Your food is perfect, and you’re welcome.” Plus, no surprise “jump-scare toast” flying into your face.

Toasters walked so air fryers could soar.

I have lived with toasters most of my life and will defend their rights to the end of my life. As long as they make butter give me toast and jam.

Disagreeing with someone will get you banned? Talk about your 1st amendment right violation. That is not a sub room being led by a sub by someone with a god complex. You sure your not on group chat with the View?

I have to live with getting peoples pronouns right all the time why is this group different? Your right but I see why you don't speak up. It's kinda like being in a war zone "keep your mouth shut head down and don't overthink it". Do what you have to do to keep yourself safe and being able to talk to others maybe you can find a better place later.

Excellent argument! I’ll even add that some air fryers like my beloved can even grill! Let’s see a toaster that can produce a mouthwatering perfectly cooked steak! They just don’t measure up!

Toasters have their place but unfortunately for them it’s far far below air fryers. 😆

Regarding the group, fortunately I have other sub friends that I can talk to. Sometimes it’s just interesting to look in on this group because topics might be posted that I didn’t think about before. I love reading other viewpoints and about different dynamics. It’s unfortunate that some of the advice given by commenters gets drowned out because of the moderator being so militant.
