Our blogs are one of the best bits of THE CAGE Community. They are a great way to express yourself, share your experiences, connect with others, and give and get support.
We're all for self-expression here at THE CAGE and we look forward to reading your blog posts! Blogs must comply with the platform-wide Rules as well as the additional guidelines below.
Include a short disclaimer at the top of your post if it contains:
Example: "Fictional scenario. All participants are consenting adults (18+)."
Failing to follow these rules may result in moderation action.
Got it? Great! Now let's get blogging…
You can follow blogs by clicking the down arrow by the blog title and choose "Follow Blog". You can then easily browse through favourite blogs on your follow list. You will also be notified when your followed blogs publish new content.
Open the blog options menu by clicking on the down arrow by each blog title in the blog list and click "Hide Blog".
Blogs you've chosen to hide will not appear in the recently updated blog lists.
Blogs are viewable to anyone who visits the site unless the blog author chooses to restrict it to registered users.
You can change this in the Preferences page in the Privacy tab or in your blog settings.
Maximize the reach and exposure of your favourite blog content via our share button. The share feature makes it easy to publish to other platforms all of those moving, funny, and informative blog posts you love. Easily share your own content or posts from your favourite CAGE bloggers by clicking on the share button at the bottom of each post.
On mobile devices the share button allows users to share content through installed applications such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Kik, or Gmail. For desktop users clicking on the share button will copy the blog post link to your clipboard, making sharing easier and more convenient than ever before.
It's easy to opt out if you'd prefer to not have your blog content available to share via this new feature. Simply go to your blog settings and make your blog viewable to registered users only. Only users who have registered with the site will be able to view your blog posts and they will not have the option to share your posts in this way.
You can add images to your blog post by clicking on the "insert image" icon above the composition area.
Please note blog photos are a Premium only feature.
Pinning is a Premium feature that lets you keep specific posts at the top of your blog so visitors see them first. It’s perfect for introductions, important announcements, popular stories, or collections you want to showcase.
To pin or unpin a post, click the down arrow next to your blog post’s title to open the menu. You’ll see the Pin or Unpin option there. You can change pinned posts anytime.
At the bottom of your blog post composition page is a voice recording tool. Click on the + to record your audio clip.
Please note that recording and listening to Blog Voice is a Premium only feature.
Simply copy and paste the video link in to the body of your post.
Tags help others find your content and help your posts reach readers who share your interests. Use tags that describe what your blog is about, such as erotica, bondage, play party, D/s, or aftercare.
When creating or editing a blog post, you’ll see a Tags box beneath the composition area. Simply type your keywords there to organize your content and make discovery easier for others.
If you believe a blog post has violated our rules please click on the down arrow by a post and select “Report”. A form will open that will ask you to explain why you are reporting the post.
This will cause the post to be temporarily removed until the report has been reviewed by a staff member.
Please note that abuse of the blog reporting system will not be tolerated and could result in your account being suspended. Please make sure you are confident a blog is in violation of our rules before choosing to report it.
As part of our community moderation, any member can report a blog post they feel to be inappropriate or in violation of our rules. Reporting is confidential and the reporter must provide a reason for flagging the post. The report is sent to our moderation team for review. If the report is accepted as valid you will be notified and given an option to appeal the report. If the report is rejected by our moderation team your blog post will be instantly reactivated.
Please note that if your blog post is flagged by our staff it will be noted in the blog report.
Premium users can hide their blog without deleting it. Just visit your blog settings and set the visibility to “Hidden.” Your content will remain saved, and you can make it visible again at any time.
When your blog is hidden you'll not be able to publish new post or respond to or like comments.
