Below you will find THE CAGE privacy policy, which outlines what information we collect when you use our services (website, app, mobile applications, etc.). We explain what information we store and otherwise use, and how to delete that information if you so choose. We hope that this transparency will give all of THE CAGE community a clear understanding of our respect for your privacy as well as our compliance with privacy law.

We only collect information required to provide the various services that the site has to offer and to monitor usage and interactions. None of the information collected is used for profiling or for ad targeting.
For example, profile details are only used to construct a user profile page and to make the relevant user appear in our member search results.
During the registration process we ask for your email address. The prime use of this address is to identify you if you happen to lose your password, and in any other case of communication outside THE CAGE. We will send you an email with a link to verify that the address is yours. Users are not able to enter the site before we have verified their email. For security we encourage you not to use your primary email, but an alternative one. We will never use your email address other than internally for the purposes mentioned here.
For the sole purpose of protecting our users from fraud, fake profiles, bots, duplicates, and scammers, we have made phone verification mandatory during the registration process. After requesting your phone number we send that number a passcode to verify it. We then check to see if your number has already been registered with us. If the phone number is already in use you will not be able to complete registration. No other use is made of this phone number. We keep phone numbers apart from the rest of the site data for the duration of membership. We may keep phone numbers for a longer duration if we feel it is required for the safety of our users.
THE CAGE uses trusted third-party verification services to help ensure the platform remains a safe, genuine adult space.
Members accessing THE CAGE from countries where the law requires age verification (including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and Australia) are required to complete an 18+ Age Check via Yoti before accessing the platform. This applies to new and returning members alike. Age verification is carried out directly by Yoti. THE CAGE receives only a confirmation of whether the age check has passed or not; we do not receive, store, or retain any personal data submitted to Yoti as part of this process. Yoti's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data.
All members may optionally verify their identity via Veriff, a trusted identity verification service. Veriff confirms both identity and age. This service is available to Basic and Premium members for a small fee and adds a verified status to your profile. Identity verification is carried out directly by Veriff. THE CAGE receives only a confirmation of whether the verification has passed or not; we do not receive, store, or retain any personal data submitted to Veriff as part of this process. Veriff's own privacy policy governs how they handle your data.
We collect most of your data directly from you. We keep the amount of mandatory data to the minimum needed to operate the services we offer.

To help keep THE CAGE safe and compliant with our Content Policy, uploaded images and media may be processed by automated moderation tools as a first-pass check. These tools help our team identify content that may not meet our standards; they do not make final decisions. All content removal and account actions are carried out by a human member of our team.
Images submitted for moderation review are processed solely for the purpose of content compliance checking. We do not use this processing for profiling, advertising, or any purpose beyond platform safety. Images processed by third-party moderation tools are handled under data processing agreements that require those providers to comply with applicable data protection law, including the GDPR.
We use browser cookies and similar means to recognise you when you return to THE CAGE. THE CAGE does not track you across the internet. We only track you when you visit THE CAGE in order to offer you the best service possible.
We don't track non-registered users individually, although we may use a cookie to make sure users have initially agreed to follow our age restriction statement before they can view the site content.
THE CAGE does not offer targeted paid advertising, meaning that we don't collect information in order to advertise to you. Nor do we sell, exchange, or otherwise share your information in any way that can be used to track you.
In order to give you the best experience possible, we collect information from your interactions on the network. This also includes your Internet Protocol address and information about your device and browser.
THE CAGE will not transfer personal information about you to third parties for advertising or promotional purposes. We will not sell information about you.
By consenting to this privacy notice you are giving us permission to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified. Consent is required for THE CAGE to process both types of personal data, but it must be explicitly given. Where we are asking you for sensitive personal data we will always tell you why and how the information will be used.

You cannot opt out of these emails without deleting your account. You can, however, opt out of non-administrative emails such as blog and topic follow notifications. We will never email you to ask for your password or other account information. If you receive an email requesting this information please send it to us immediately so we can investigate.
THE CAGE collects and stores information about its users in order to improve the overall experience of the services. THE CAGE is a community website that promotes content sharing and interaction such as blogs, forums, and personal messages. For these services the information is collected, processed, and saved.
THE CAGE will process (collect, store, and use) the information you provide in a manner compatible with the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary. We make sure to carefully select our providers and partners to ensure they conform with our confidentiality standards. We share the minimal information needed to utilise their services. We will not share information about your sexual orientation or phone number with anyone without receiving your explicit consent to do so.

Deleted account profile pages will yield an error 404 "file not found" page immediately upon initiating deletion and will become unrecoverable in our system after a period of 30 days.
We retain your personal data even after you have closed your account if reasonably necessary to comply with our legal obligations (including law enforcement requests), meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, or fulfil your request to unsubscribe from further messages from us. We will retain de-personalised information after your account has been closed.
To delete your payment or billing information, you will need to do so with your payment provider, as THE CAGE only has minimal secure access to those records as needed to provide the services.

You may correct information associated with your account from the preferences page and by editing your profile.
You may withdraw consent by deleting your account at any time through the profile edit page, which will erase your personal information completely within 30 days (except to the extent THE CAGE is prevented by law from deleting your information).

If your complaint relates to alleged misuse of your personal data by a third party, it may result in suspension of that post or account in keeping with relevant law, public interest, our contractual obligations, and the rights of expression and access to information of others.

You can access, modify, or delete your CAGE account from the profile edit page. To protect your information in case you may wish to return, and to protect you from accidental or malicious deletion or manipulation of your account, we may maintain some of your information for a brief period. However, after a time, your information and content will be unrecoverable.
Sharing of information sometimes involves cross-border data transfers, for instance to the United States of America and other jurisdictions. Where the service allows for users to be located in the European Economic Area (EEA), their personal information may be transferred to countries outside of the EEA. We use standard contract clauses approved by the European Commission or other suitable safeguards to permit data transfers from the EEA to other countries. Standard contractual clauses are commitments between companies transferring personal data, binding them to protect the privacy and security of your data.
THE CAGE and its services are restricted to users aged 18 or older. We do not permit anyone under the age of 18 to use our services and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. We require all of our users to immediately report any user who is underage. Please use the report feature or contact a staff member immediately if you detect anyone under the age of 18 on THE CAGE platform.
THE CAGE reserves the right to change or update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes.
In order to provide the services, THE CAGE collects and stores personal data about its users on the legal basis of consent given when you create an account and agree to this Privacy Policy.
