Our Community Standards cover all aspects of interaction and content on THE CAGE, including profiles, blogs, forums, chat areas, and any other community spaces on the platform.
These standards inform our approach to moderation across the site. Moderation decisions are always contextual, but these standards set out the values and expectations we ask every member to uphold.
By registering for THE CAGE you have agreed to our Terms of Service and these Community Standards.
We welcome debate, conversation, and dissent. Personal attacks against other members or our administrators, persistent trolling, and abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. We understand people feel strongly about topics discussed on THE CAGE, but we will remove content that is needlessly offensive, threatening, or harmful to others. Please consider your impact on others when commenting, posting, or sharing material.
THE CAGE is a kink and BDSM community. Consent is a foundational value here: in life, in practice, and in how we treat one another on this platform. All sexual or BDSM-related interaction must be based on mutual agreement. Content that depicts, implies, or celebrates non-consent is not permitted.
Consent applies to interactions just as much as to content. Do not send unsolicited explicit messages or images. Do not address other members with sexual demands or degrading language they have not invited. A dynamic exists only once it has been negotiated and agreed by everyone involved: no one on THE CAGE is your submissive, your Dominant, or anything else until they have agreed to be. Approaches that ignore a refusal or continue after a block are harassment, and we act on them.
We will not tolerate racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, or any other form of hate speech or discrimination. We recognise the difference between criticising a practice, belief, or organisation and attacking people on the basis of their race, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age. Content that crosses that line will be removed.
THE CAGE operates a clear content framework that applies to all images and media shared on the platform. All members are expected to read and follow our Content Policy before uploading or sharing any images or media. The Content Policy covers what is permitted, what is restricted to the members-only area, what will be removed, and what is absolutely prohibited.
The protection of minors is our highest priority. No image of a person under 18 is permitted anywhere on the platform under any circumstances. If you suspect any content involves a minor, report it immediately.
We take the safety and integrity of our community seriously. To help ensure THE CAGE remains a genuine adult space, free from fake profiles, bots, and bad actors, we use trusted third-party verification tools:
For details of how verification data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
Members must not share another person's private information or images without their explicit consent. This includes photographs, private messages, and any personally identifying details. Sharing, reposting, or distributing other members' content outside THE CAGE without their consent is not permitted.
We will remove any content that places THE CAGE in legal jeopardy, including potentially defamatory or libellous material or content posted in breach of copyright. See our DMCA Policy for details.
THE CAGE is a community space, not a marketplace. Commercial solicitation, advertising, spam, and any offer or request for paid sexual or BDSM services are not permitted. Profiles or contributions that are clearly commercial in nature will be removed.
We encourage members to include content warnings when sharing material that covers sensitive themes, including edgeplay, consensual non-consent (CNC) roleplay, or other intense subject matter. This helps all members engage with content on their own terms and supports a considerate community environment.
THE CAGE aims to offer a kink and sex-positive platform for an adult audience that is inclusive, safe, and engaging. Our moderation approach is guided by these Community Standards and applied with context and care.
We use a combination of automated tools and human review to moderate content on the platform. Automated tools help us identify potentially policy-violating content at scale; they do not make final decisions. All content removal and account actions are carried out by a human member of our team.
Members who seriously, persistently, or wilfully ignore these Community Standards or our Terms of Service may have their accounts suspended, possibly permanently. This is not an action we take lightly or arbitrarily. However, we are committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive community and we reserve the right to make decisions that serve that goal.
Moderators may contact you by private message where an issue arises. Any guidance they provide should be followed in the spirit of maintaining a positive environment for all members and to protect your continued access to the platform.
Our staff reserves the right to remove any user deemed disruptive or harmful to the community, without prior notice. These decisions are made to ensure a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for everyone.
If you believe a moderation decision affecting your content or account has been made in error, you are welcome to request a review. Please write to support@thecage.co with details of the decision and your reasons for requesting a review. We will consider all appeals fairly and respond as promptly as we are able.
The views expressed by members on this site do not necessarily reflect or represent the views of THE CAGE administrators or owners.
The platform is ours, but the community belongs to everyone. We want THE CAGE to be a welcoming space for intelligent discussion, education, and acceptance. We ask our members to help us by reporting potential problems and supporting an inclusive and appropriate environment for all. When we all take responsibility, we all benefit.
