THE CAGE Chat Rules are as follows:
If you are harassed in chat or witness a violation of the above rules take a screenshot if possible and file a report on the user by visiting his or her profile and using the "report" button. You can also choose to "Mute" any user you prefer not to interact with.
Violations of our chat rules may result in suspension from chat and possibly the site.
THE CAGE believes in community moderation. That means any user can be reported by others if they are abusive, harass other users, or otherwise violate our rules. You can also block and mute other Chat Room users or create an invite only Chat Room for you and your friends.
We strongly encourage that any abusive or excessively rude behaviour is reported. Please visit the user’s profile and select the “report” button. Screenshots are particularly helpful when filing a report.
You can also visit the user's profile and block them. This prevents them from contacting you in any way, including in the Chat Rooms. If you'd prefer not to see this user's comments you can also choose to "Mute" them, which will hide their public comments from your view.
If you are not interested in receiving new messages you can lock yourself by toggling the lock button. When locked people will not be able to message you except for those you are already chatting with in private.
While locked you can still start a new private chat with other users.
Once you engage with them, they will be able to respond to you.
You can click on the user name and choose "Mute" in the menu. You will not be able to see comments from users you've muted.
