I thought this would be a good topic to start my blog, since I am studying music and feel comfortable talking about it...
The songs I have here are partial special to myself, but also songs that I don't know why I can't get rid of them.
No. 1: Red Hot Chillie Peppers - Dark Necessities
The song is about the beauty of our dark side. It addresses what beautiful things can come out of the struggles inside of us. I think it fits quite well for this site...
It got me into playing the Bass, which is a huge part of my daily life.
No. 2: BWV248 I. Chor: "Jauchzet, frohlocket, auf preiset die Tage" - Johann Sebastian Bach
Did you ever hear that thing in a church? Damn, if that doesn't move you in some way, probably nothing will...
No. 3: John Lennon - Imagine
If it doesn't move your soul, you should go to the doctor...
But really, not only the music and the text are amazing and beautiful, but have you ever really thought about the relevance of this song it when it got released?
No. 4: Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt Suit: In the Hall of the Mountain King
This amazing piece of music sticks around with me since forever, and I don't know why...
No. 5: Queen - Is This The World We Created?
One of the most beautiful and sad Queen-Songs. How beautiful a song can sound with just vocals and guitar...
And it was absolutely amazing that this song was performed at Live Aid...
I think that five pieces should be enough, even if the list goes on and on. I hope you enjoyed it.
