Anything to keep sleep from thinking it has control

I’m always thinking, so why not share those thoughts?

Yesterday a friend pissed me off, to the point where I had to just leave, out of fear I would say something I would later regret.

First he asked me, “can I ask you a question about women and their pride?” I say, “I can only speak about my own pride, because I don’t know about other women and their prides” When someone asks me questions like that, and expect an answer, it annoys me. So because I have a vagina, and told I am female, I should automatically know everything about every female? What people don’t understand is, we are similar as humans but our differences are the most prominent, and beautiful thing about us. The way I see it, if we were meant to be the same, we would all the made the same. Until we learn to love and appreciate each other’s differences and use them to collectively change the world, we will just keep repeating ourselves.

Then, he asked me “what is the purpose of life? what are we doing here? What is the point of all this? Why don’t we give up?(now that I am thinking about this, it sounds a little suicidal 🤔) Why do people settle?

All of these questions made me angry for the same reason, except for the last one, which I will elaborate on in a bit.

One fact we know about life is that there is no one on Earth who can tell us why we are here, what our purposes are, what life’s purpose is. So, why dwell on those questions? Why waste time you could use being productive, working towards your goals, shining light into the world, doing your part? I just don’t understand that logic of sitting around all day just thinking. And he kept saying how he thinks a lot. I think a lot, we all think a lot, we are humans, it’s what we do, everyone’s mind is always going. So the mistake is thinking it’s only your mind doing it. I believe the biggest mistake someone can make in life, is thinking they are the only one going through things.

Which brings me to settling, one question he asked was “why does a Walmart worker settle” this to me shined a light on how deeply he sees people. To me, a Walmart worker is not just a Walmart worker settling, it’s someone who knows they have responsibilities, and so they do what they must to be productive. If that Walmart worker applies themselves, learn, grow, who knows where they will end up? Everyone has their goals and reason they do what they do, it’s just important to DO something, everyone who is working is working towards something. Does a tree bare fruit if it’s not watered and cared for(wether by nature or by humans and nature)? And once the tree bares fruit, do you not then have to pick them? Which is hard work. Everything in life takes work.

He is an Artist, who feels he is above working for people, and doing what they want. Buuut, I too i’m artist, but I go to my artless job, do my best, shine my light, earn my paycheck, and still do my art. Of course I don’t get as much time to work on my art as I would like, but who does? What matters is that I do make the time. And sure I hate my job because I have to follow someone else’s rules, but I learn something new everyday, I interact with other humans everyday. I will grow, I will accomplish my goal to one day own my own businesses. Does a master become a master without first being an apprentice? You can’t feel like you are above starting from the bottom, and working your way up. It also doesn’t matter what your work is, the important thing is that you learn something everyday, and grow. Why stay stagnant?

How can someone ask me about women’s pride, when they don’t anylaze their own pride?

Well, i’m Not sure how well written or organized this was, it’s almost 2am and I have work in a few hours. So, I think i’ll finally Let sleep do it’s thing. Goodnight
