A November Evening

Short story Pt I
1 year ago. September 26, 2022 at 4:38 AM

She was habitually punctual whether it was for an assignment, a date, something for college or just a movie with friends. She always tried to be punctual. She knew that this was one of the things that he liked about her, one of those traits that just falls into place with a close friend, a friend that she had become intimate with and was pushing all of the right buttons and seemed to know intuitively that there’s a sequence… almost as if playing a melody.

She had arrived a little early this afternoon, casually dressed in jeans and a hoodie she window shopped around the mall and arrived at Starbucks some 15+ minutes late with a breezy greeting, and an award winning smile as if nothing was amiss.

He went to get her a fresh coffee to replace the one that had gone cold and this time brought a blueberry muffin too. They talked… their conversations always flowed easily and in the back of her mind she thought that being late hadn’t caught his attention.

The blueberry muffin and coffee almost finished.
He took a pen and the paper serviette and appeared to be writing something as she chattered about a movie that she’d watched. He folded the serviette and passed it across the table to her.
With alarm she read..”go to the restroom and remove your panties.”

she looked at him with disbelief.

”Right now!” Evidently he meant it.

To be continued.
