Let’s go to the beach! Spontaneous as ever and not at a bad idea for a lazy Sunday afternoon at the very end of summer.
”We can grab a takeaway or a McD or something”
You’ve just showered and are now towelling your long hair to get it somewhat dry and free from annoying tangles.
”Get dressed”. I kiss your temple gently and then your forehead as the towel is discarded to the bed.
”What are you going to wear? … jeans?” A question and answer all in one, sometimes it’s exasperating and sometimes not, this is clearly a direction to wear jeans and this seems a good choice for the drive there and it should take barely an hour with the light Sunday traffic. It’s a long weekend too so an overnight stay is in order and the waves will be crashing on the beach audibly from the beach house. It’s less grand than it sounds, it’s a weekend getaway that fronts onto a beach that was once very popular but has declined in recent years so that the bungalow is one of only a few properties along the beach road that gets any use.
