Brownies

I love Brownies and I have two choices......

I have a next door neighbor who loves to bake.
I call her and tell her to bake me some brownies
I stay on the phone and and listen and converse with her.
After they are done we talk about how well it went and the trouble she had.
I then watch from the window as she enjoys my brownies.

or

I tell the next door neighbor to come fix me some brownies.
We talk and enjoy it while she prepares and bakes them.
We enjoy the brownies together.

And that in a nutshell is how I see an online D/s relationship to a RT D/s relationship.

Having said that I have had two long distance D/s relationships but still made time to be together.

I am not saying they are wrong. To me they have to be there with the understanding
that we are working together so one day I can enjoy the brownies.

I love this analogy... very clever.

I have to admit that, as a noob, I've wondered about this myself. I see all these online relationships and, no offense meant to anyone, wonder how satisfying they are in the long run.

In an online D/s relationship, both parties can come away with equal satisfaction. In your example, it's nearly impossible since one person gets to eat said brownie. This analogy is flawed for the simple fact that your introducing a tangible item into the equation.

Brownies are my weakness. Good analogy though.
