Kink and Chronic Conditions- fibromyalgia, lupus, chronic fa

People with chronic medical conditions find ways to adjust their lifestyles to allow their bodies to work at "their normal" maximum capacity. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. That means if I want to do something that requires more energy than usual, I plan that the next day is a rest day.
I am not an invalid. I live a good life, adjusting as I go. Sometimes I overdo and yes (if I had one) a Dom/Daddy would probably get angry at me. Yes- he WOULD be upset with me.
Let's talk about how you adjust for Kink/Playtime/BDSM relationships and your condition. It could be just age related.

Please- no haters or people who think we should not get involved in BDSM/Kink. Let's keep this positive

What a great topic! I had cancer and the chemo caused Addison’s disease which means I run on periodically dosed steroids. So I can’t really be as spontaneous as I’d like since my body won’t compensate on its own for stress-responses. Something I’ve found that works (with a patient and understanding partner) is preparatory language that “hints” to where his headspace might be for later so I know how to dose appropriately throughout the day. Then we can just carry on without making my health a front-and-centerpiece of the play.

Talk and conversation about your condition and concerns with your doms. Some will run a mile others will will totally understand.
I have MS, I don't jump in there and go hi I have MS but I do let them know and that I am going to have bad days.
I have found most to be totally understanding and ask questions which is totally fine.
Ask away, it is better for them to know.
Never feel like you are alone, you are not.
There are ways round things and things you can use that will not put as much strain on your body.
Aftercare is so important.
Understanding your condition and how simple things like a sunny or cold day can effect you is a must for you both.
You are not alone, some days are so hard but others are not.
It's important to talk. Hugs to anyone suffering, you are stronger than you think, and you are not alone in this xx

Thanks for this topic! Living with RA, majorly jacked up back and CF, born with a compromised immune system and having regular infusions that further compromises it GRRR! I'm always in pain, lethargic or sick. I find that it can be difficult to enjoy this lifestyle which i truly enjoy. Any advice would be incredible!

Hi again,

This has been chatted about in an MS magazine I get for having sex with chronic pain.
There are a lot of things on the market that would help.
Such a swing, it is less pressure on the body.
Cushions help with positioning and there are padded wedges for being in a bent position.
Rest before and after play.
Understand your condition and talk.
This is a must in any relationship, shop around, there are even door swings lol
