Which do you prefer?

Personally, I would much prefer love and devotion. The deeper personal connection makes both parties feelings and actions that much better and more genuine.

It may not be the popular vote, but I find that obligatory dutiful submission works well for me.

I tend to build everything on structure of what works, and sometimes love doesn't always fit into that -although there may be a level of fondness.

The feelings I experience between either side differ and I find that when there is a failing of any sort, the suffering impacts me in ways that I have to balance the pain to stay in control of the situation.
It is easier for me to review something amiss with an emotional detachment, and if that has hooks in love, it is painful for all involved.
