I loved Christmas eve as kid, my Father would have the family dress up and we would go to a fancy diner, then drive around to see lights.
He started this because there was enough cooking and cleaning on Christmas day. I still did this while the kids were growing up. Turning 49, it will be my first Christmas without the kids at home or having alternate plans. I am really excited but change comes with some apprehension. Mostly lack of ideas (new freedom!) I would like to start a new adult tradition of my own, just for myself to look forward too. What does anyone here do as a tradition that is specifically for them, and joy of the holidays? |
