Sir or Daddy

This topic came up in a conversation with someone so I thought I would open it up to other’s views. I find the honorific Sir to be very impersonal. If we are at the stage of honorifics, I prefer Daddy or whatever my sub is comfortable referring to me as. I would like a male and female perspective on this.

My view, is whatever title makes them tingle, when they think about it, say it, in context to myself. Of course, usually that relates to the headspace, energy, specificity of the particular dynamic I am in with them - which can have a mixture of elements/aspects, so more than one title might fit. I will usually offer titles, options, but I am open to their ideas too.

During my kink life so far, I have been called master, owner, sir, daddy, and maker.

I'm a big fan of "Daddy" and prefer it to "Sir", personally.

Much prefer Sir or Master to Daddy.

I would suspect that the answers will depend at least to some extent on the preferred dynamic of the responder. As i prefer a Master - slave dynamic Daddy isn't for me.

For personal reasons, I prefer Sir or a unique honorific rather than "daddy".

I explain my reasons directly to those that I interact with. But I understand if it is something that specific Dom needs, I may not be a fit for them.

Hi a quietdom, i like sir for when i am expected to be obedient but prefer daddy more especially for softer scenes. why do you like daddy?

I call him Daddy most of the time. Sometimes he gets a bratty “Yes Sir” but it would feel weird calling him that for real.

i used to go by "daddy"... now i just go by Z or Clown
