Do the Rules Still Apply?

I had this experience not to long ago. Something personal came up and things were put on hold. I was just as lost and confused. I am new to this lifestyle so I had so many questions. About a week later he was back and attempted to pick up things like nothing had happened. I had no idea where we stood or if he was coming back. I was left in limbo and it felt horrible. I'm a firm believer in communication and yes things may happen in life that requires ones attention but we live in a world where technology is literally in the palm of our hands. A hello takes a few seconds. Things didn't sit well with me, I don't do disappearing acts. I had to move on.
