I tried once to have a play partner only type of thing, failed miserably, and ended up very hurt. I do not blame him at all because we both agreed it was temporary, and not to form attachment. So, I learned that I definitely need the love, bond, and lifelong relationship (even though some turn out to not be lifelong). I have also been in the type of dynamic that isn’t a loving M/s, it’s just M/s. I found that to be incredibly empty and depressing, it was good for a while but it became an untenable situation.
