One of my favorite quotes is from the movie Bull Durham:

I don’t personally subscribe to all of that, and I’m not a big baseball fan, but the sentiment remains.
I have beliefs, some of which aren’t popular, but they are mine nonetheless. I don’t seek to follow what’s trendy or subscribe to the group mentality.
I believe in individuality and I believe there is beauty found in everyone.
I believe in being true to yourself.
I don’t believe there is one true way, and no one will convince me otherwise.
I’m mostly a Daddy, and I like that side of me a lot. I’m told I’m a good kisser and a good cuddler, amongst other things.
I’m probably too much of a romantic for the kink world, but I’m definitely way too kinky for anyplace else, so here I am amongst you on the Island of Misfit Toys.
There are four primary things that I look for in a partner. Fit, Distance, Time and Connection.
Fit means that we want similar things. We must fit each other’s goals and dreams. We must fit each other’s personalities. We must fit each other’s lives.
Distance means that I’m looking for someone that lives close enough to me that I can reasonably see her on a regular basis. I don’t want to drive the turnpike on an evening after work, just to turn around later that evening and drive the turnpike back again because I have to work the next morning. I’m looking for someone that I can spend regular, quality time with each week.
Time means that I’m looking for someone that has time to see me. I’m looking for someone whose schedules matches mine. It’s frustrating to meet someone that you otherwise match up well with, but you can’t reasonably see each other except late at night on a Tuesday.
Connection is the main thing that I’m looking for. If the other three primary things are a match, there is still connection. I’m looking for the kind of connection that makes time stand still. The kind that causes you to be lost in that kiss for three days. The kind that makes you forget the world around you. I want to be lost in someone and have them lost in me.
