Likeavirgin​(sub female) - This one was a toughie for me. Since you said era, I'm going to go with the early 1900s. Technology starting to really improve, then having the strength to live through the depression and ww2. Everyone who lived through all that has strengths I wish I could borrow. Everything about life was tough and unknowing.
