Before you say those aren't the people you want to meet, consider that they night be exceptional in many other ways you would want to meet them.

I think your brewing aspect could lead to good intro conversation. See if you can expand on it, maybe talk about your setup, events you've gone to, what you like to brew. Not a huge paragraph but another couple sentences to entice.
