I was challenged to do one thing I had never done. Decided to go on my first solo mini road trip to this lake. Beautiful place. Peaceful place.

“Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.”
Desperate for attention
Desperate for love
Desperate for someone
to treat her well
so Desperate acting like a fool
used abused and left in the cold
Finally awaking
Desperate no more
No more begging for a reply
No more waiting for an answer
No more longing for his unavailability
No more listening for the ring of a phone call she knows she will never get
Desperate no more
She knows her worth
She knows herself more each day
She knows what she deserves
Desperate no more
What are you looking for?
A soul ripped to pieces
Strewn over the ocean waves
Life force depleted into nothing
Desperate to feel again
Longing to be alive
Truly the darkest night of her soul
She Walks in Beauty
BY LORD BYRON (GEORGE GORDON)
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
Had half impaired the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
Or softly lightens o’er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express,
How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.
And on that cheek, and o’er that brow,
So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
A heart whose love is innocent!
