Dominant & Dominate are the your/you're of the kink world. As someone who is a Dominant, i'm a little more forgiving of it in ads from submissives, but I have a feeling it's one of those small but illusion breaking things going the other way.

And the second -- The Reticent's cover
This is the inverse of the Lacuna Coil cover. Chris Hathcock is a wonderful vocalist, and he wrings every heart wrenching ounce of sorrow out of the song. The instrumentation is more barren than even the original, and that is accomplished with a complete lack of drums and bass in it, and instead opting for 2 guitar tracks. Chris' other musical influences are nodded to as well in here. I can hear a bit of Jazz influence, and most definitely some doom metal peaking through in the more discordant chords.
The song i'm choosing for this challenge is the classic R.E.M. tune, "Losing My Religion"
Of course I absolutely love the original, Michael Stipe's vocals are raw and powerful, and it's one of the best songs to ever feature a mandolin in my view.
(I had linked the original but I am not sure if you're only allowed 2 vid links in a post)
I'm going to over up two covers because I love each of them for different reasons
The first - Lacuna Coil's cover.
Cristina's absolutely soaring vocals are a delight. Andrea as always provides a nice counterbalance vocally to Cristina, and it features all the things that I love about Lacuna Coil at their best. Big hooks, driving instrumentation, and a peppering of keys and/or synths in all the right places. I have always felt that as somber as the song could seem in the original version, that it also had an uplifting quality to it. So, I think that Lacuna Coil making this in the vein of their more upbeat tunes is coherent.
