I am afraid to be me. I want to see me through your eyes.
Do you see the woman who begs for love?
The woman who needs to know she can handle more than she ever thought possible? The strength within?
Is my light not bright enough for you see the corners?
Have you noticed the woman who hides in the darkness?
She shudders with the light; Wanting to feel the heat and be seen.
Or, do you see the one standing in front of her?
The mother. The wife. The gentle one. The one who seeks to provide for others. Kindness.
The one in the corner carries internal strength.
Knowledge of what has been.
Determination to never go back.
She is naked and exposed in the dark.
She is wild. A product of pain, fear, and a need to hide.
Feral.
Let her out. She needs to be tamed.
She wants to run free. To feel more pain. To be used and broken.
Not because she doesn't know better, but because she feeds the other woman; They are entwined.
She is screaming. She wants to be let out.
She wants to feel, to absorb, to take the pain, and turn it to tears. To feel the darkness move away.
She wants to be Treasured, Desired, Loved, Cared for, Lusted after, Broken, and Scared into her true self.
Show her that she not something to be locked away.
Love does not mean accepting only the woman in front.
It means loving the other woman as much, maybe even more.
Showing her acceptance.
Allowing her to move from the shadow to the light.
The two women should dance, move in harmony, and serve the other.
Eventually, they will meld into one.
That woman, the whole woman, will shine brighter than before. Colors will dance.
The key is to feed them both.
