In many ways I really love this show.
There are so many complexities and growth thar ive experienced validation from this show as a pagan that feel really beautiful and awesome to me. At the same time it highlights deep dark sex magic and abuse of power and lack of morals as well as magic that thrives being fed through emotion. Another plus. Though sometimes I rewrite and replay scenes I dont like with my own imagination station... (Cause I can duh...)
I love this show and cant wait to binge watch the whole series sometime with some popcorn and pals who also appreciate the show.
Its interesting to me that so many people compare this show to Harry potter off to college... To me (because I read alot growing up) this show reminds me more of CS Lewis first novel of Narnia... The magicians nephew....
1. Because theres this uncle who did some sex magic raping a little girl to open up portals to other worlds
2. Because Quintin like Digory ended up exploring those worlds
3. There are these undertones of hate from both writers on how they really feel about women (snow queen... bad evil fight kill... Julia. A white woman gets raped and the black goddess she worshiped says chick you cant kill the guy who did that cause hes my son and no... ) like who would love a goddess after that? Julia grows to not trust really ANYONE... Understandably.. And grow more...
4. Digory and Polly go splorin worlds learn in stuff on their own... Like Quinton and hia crew...
I'm sure theres more but it's the stuff on my mind right now...
Really sad it's gonna be ending and fairly annoyed that the article I saw had a pic without penny in it.... What the hel?
