" ONE NEVER KNOWS, NOT ONE"

This is my blog dedicated to posting one proverb weekly. No I'm not very religious. I just like writing

I would like to complicate your thinking.

Now that's one way to get your attention

Have you ever looked into a mirror? And thought to yourself, is that really who I am.

Would it surprise you, if I told you that's not you in the mirror?

Probably not!

Well I got news for you. That's not you.

We're all made up a lot of different things.

Our physical appearance is just a vessel to carry our true being.

Whether we're tall, fat short, beautiful or ugly.

What's on the inside. That's what truly makes us who we are.

A huge misconception,

when a person says oh they have a huge heart.

In reality you don't want to have a huge heart. Because more than likely that means you're having an issue.

Did you ever hear anyone say. Oh they're so nice, they must have a huge brain?!?

Makes perfect sense. Your heart is a pump that moves blood through your body.

Your brain is the device that makes you who you are.

Now let's destroy all that stuff we've been told.

So moving forward, on Valentine's Day don't buy anybody a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Buy them a hat!

Next time you fall in love with someone, don't run to the florist and buy them flowers. Go to the pharmacy and buy them some aspirin.

Now I know what you're thinking. What about poor little Cupid.

I got news for that little winged fucker.

From now on you'll find Cupid working a kiosk in the mall selling hats and earmuffs

Once this information gets out. The Greeting card industry is going to be turned upside down.

And I would like to think that I had something to do with it.

Before you go running off half cocked.

I love romance, I'm a hopeful romantic. Look! I write poetry.

I think your brain felt sentiments put to paper and given to someone you care about is such a greater gift then a box of lousy sugary chocolates.

Now that's because I don't really like chocolate so much.

And if you don't believe me, Ask a lady if a gentleman had ever written her a poem.

Then ask her,  would you have rather received a bouquet of flowers?

Or a poem that some fellow wrote you.

Now come on, you really know the correct answer.

Of course it's the poem.

And in reality the poem doesn't have to be that good. It's flattering that someone will take the time to compose words on a piece of paper just for you.

Revealing their feelings for you.How they love your pretty smile. And so on and so on.

So in closing I only have one thing to say.

Write your significant other a poem.

And if you get a chance, go to your local shopping mall. And say hi to Cupid for me.

He will be the guy selling hats in one of those little kiosks.

Have a wonderful life.

ladypatience - I think we should all just kick cupids ass. He doesn't do a damn bit of any good. Trust me.
