Grief

Grief is a stranger.
It will never be a friend.
It does not care what you want to do today, tomorrow or any other day.
It will wreak any plans that you make.
It will be a constant reminder of why you shouldn’t be happy or even content.
It will push even your best friend away.
It will make you dodge phone calls from your family.
It will ruin a day that has been full of adventure and good times.
The only good thing about grief is at one point you have the power to control it.
You have the power to say “Not Today”
You have the power to take unpleasant memories and say I do not live there anymore.
When you reach that point Grief has no control.

People on this site are on a journey. I believe that most are on this  journey to find the one they can’t find on Vanilla.com. Some on here have already found their person. They come on here to read to try to improve their dynamic. They may even find something they want to introduce to the one on the other side of the slash. Others on here are like people in a Yankee candle store. They will get to a profile/blog/forum and read for a little bit. Then they will take the top off and sniff. Some will turn up their nose, others smile if it hits the right nerve. Just remember, we are all just visiting here. Every single one of us will be gone one day. Let’s act like we can behave in public. Please do not pet the animals unless they ask.
