Grief

Grief is a stranger.
It will never be a friend.
It does not care what you want to do today, tomorrow or any other day.
It will wreak any plans that you make.
It will be a constant reminder of why you shouldn’t be happy or even content.
It will push even your best friend away.
It will make you dodge phone calls from your family.
It will ruin a day that has been full of adventure and good times.
The only good thing about grief is at one point you have the power to control it.
You have the power to say “Not Today”
You have the power to take unpleasant memories and say I do not live there anymore.
When you reach that point Grief has no control.

Up way to early to watch the sunrise.

Perfect spot on the beach.

Very light wind.

No light coming from the sleeping humanity over my shoulder.

Not a cloud in the sky when it starts to peek over the horizon.

All the parts are like instruments in an orchestra, not one out of tune.

Until……..the Kazoo shows up.

The kazoo in this case happens to be a trash truck.

A trash truck that just happens to compact a full load of trash at this moment.

But wait…..there is more…..

After the compaction is finished it’s time to back up, beep, beep, beep FOR SIX MINUTES!!

It is pretty hard to soak up all of GODs glory’s with your eyes when you have that song in your ears.

It does make me laugh when I realize I am not in control as much as I think I am.

Have a great day, no matter what song is playing.

To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,
To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is to risk their loss
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.

But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.
Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.

The pessimist complains about the wind;
The optimist expects it to change;
And the realist adjusts the sails.

So I am having an easy Saturday night. Finish watching a movie. Search the internet about the quantum physics of Crappie fishing. I Decide to get on The Cage and read some peoples opinions in the forum section. When reading one post about something I have already forgotten there was one reply that stood out. It was from a submissive that made a lot of sense and was articulate. She seemed sweet and made a lot of sense. I decided to look at her profile. After pulling it up I could not get past the pictures. I only saw two, there could have been more. She made the most of those two. She was doing things to herself that didn’t leave anything to the imagination. Now I could have sent a message and said the usual about not attracting the right kind of Dom or sending the wrong kind of message. I didn’t. Didn’t feel it was my place. so that is my question, What would you have done? What would you have done if you were me?

The eclipse was about as exciting as Vanilla dating.

Late October 2023 evening on the eastern shore of Virginia.
When the tourists season is over and there wasn’t a sound to be heard.

So quiet you could hear your thoughts like someone was next to you speaking.
