Grief

Grief is a stranger.
It will never be a friend.
It does not care what you want to do today, tomorrow or any other day.
It will wreak any plans that you make.
It will be a constant reminder of why you shouldn’t be happy or even content.
It will push even your best friend away.
It will make you dodge phone calls from your family.
It will ruin a day that has been full of adventure and good times.
The only good thing about grief is at one point you have the power to control it.
You have the power to say “Not Today”
You have the power to take unpleasant memories and say I do not live there anymore.
When you reach that point Grief has no control.

Up way to early to watch the sunrise.

Perfect spot on the beach.

Very light wind.

No light coming from the sleeping humanity over my shoulder.

Not a cloud in the sky when it starts to peek over the horizon.

All the parts are like instruments in an orchestra, not one out of tune.

Until……..the Kazoo shows up.

The kazoo in this case happens to be a trash truck.

A trash truck that just happens to compact a full load of trash at this moment.

But wait…..there is more…..

After the compaction is finished it’s time to back up, beep, beep, beep FOR SIX MINUTES!!

It is pretty hard to soak up all of GODs glory’s with your eyes when you have that song in your ears.

It does make me laugh when I realize I am not in control as much as I think I am.

Have a great day, no matter what song is playing.
