My thoughts and writings

I look out the window, it’s been quite dark,

then when you least expect, a flash, a spark!

Sometimes comes fast, sometimes slow,

but when it happens, creates a warm glow.

I love that feeling, it makes me smile,

an injection of energy for a little while.

A new found friendship, or a new love,

a person that fits that moment, a glove.

But after the long night, and such a short time,

I found that new connection, not so sublime.

Disappointed and sad, I closed the door,

the spark had no fuel, it burnt no more.

Maybe in time, it will happen again,

that vital connection, that shot of cocaine.

I try not to close, to keep an open mind,

I look for a hand, from one who is kind.

Back to the room, and the comfort at home,

I am happy here really, no need to roam.
