Blacks howling

A continuation of howling at the moon. A poets journey of self healing that used to contain lamination of love, courtship, and chasing. It will now be filled love, patience, and love letters to thee. You know who you are.

I left the battlefield, battered and broken,

A soul whose light was slowly fading,

The spark of it raged, it fumed to stay lit,

For so long.....

It thought that it's last moments,

Would be scars, haze, and madness,

It thought it would keep grief, sorrow and sadness,

And like a candle to withered wheat,

A hug,

So simple and sweet,

It roared the soul to blaze,

Realizing a protector needed a healer,

A shield needed the holy word,

Because what you did could be seen as nothing else,

I know now that I can be happy,

With the simplicity of your smile,

And a room with your laughter,

And feel fully,

To never see that barren wasteland,

Ever again.
