I read somewhere that building deep trust between a Sub and a Master, and having open and honest communication are what makes the foundation of a good, strong dynamic. It’s too bad everyone doesn’t believe this. Some people give great lip service to ideas like these but don’t practice them at all. I have only been on this site and in the lifestyle about 10 months and I have experienced both types of Doms. Ones that set out to purposely deceive others and those that take great care to be open and honest. So beware of wolves in human clothing.
I am glad that I am with a Dom that cares. He wants me to be the best person I can be. He nudges me (gently) to step outside of my comfort zone in my life and it has been great. I’ve finally done a few things I have always wanted to but never had the self confidence to do. He brings value to my life and I know I bring value to his. That is a wonderful feeling. He forces me to be thoughtful and think of the greater good whenever I do something new. I have learned so much from him. He is from a different culture than me and that has been eye opening in so many ways. Meeting him has renewed my faith in people and has confirmed to me that my decision to explore this lifestyle was the right one.
