This world has an amazing spectrum of vastly different cuisines, yes? From squid balls to snake legs, I mean omg! I understand you resource within your resources, right? If you live in a very wet warm climate near water - you eat a butt-ton of rice and fish. If you live in an arid, harsh climate, you eat scorpion and snake. (no offense intended toward anyone) If you live in the "bread basket" . . . Well . . .

So anyway, ive lived a fairly sheltered life, all things considered - the most "unusual" thing ive ever eat'n was sardines (on a dare) and anchovies (because I didnt know what they were)  and btw, why in bobs name would you put that on pizza!!?? (again, no offense intended . . . You twisted bastards) So I will pose this blog question - blestion?

Language - specifically love language, has been on my mind lately. It occured to me that this subject probably doesnt translate any more poignantly than in the kink world.

It was Gary Chapman who coined the idea, we all fall into certain love "styles". 

Long long ago, in a far away land . . . I was in a relationship , yes - its true.

Aaahh the rainy, lazy, summer afternoons - just laying in each others arms - basking in the beauty of a new relationship . . .

At first I was simply enjoying how much she was enjoying me.As time went on, as it does . . . The lights brighten a bit,  and you become more aware of the neighbors stupid dog that wont shut the fuck up . . . 

The "honeymoon phase" begins to wane.

One of said "rainy, lazy, summer afternoons", we were doing said "baskings"; when all of a sudden it occured to me "ya know, I dont really like what shes doing" .

How does one broach such a subject?

"How could one approach this tactfully?"

I thought to myself.

After careful consideration, I finally said to her 

"ya know, I dont really like what you're doing"

After the ringing stopped, and the swelling went down - I regained my bearings and picked myself up off the floor and attempted to explain.

She loved gently caressing my skin. That was her love language - its not mine. 

Dont get me wrong, I do enjoy the gentle touch, the soft caress - just not like what she was doing.

Please know, im not being funny or sarcastic, and certainly not trying to offend anyone. And this subject may have been very well defined by others in the past, but well, memory . . .  ya know?

I have had several, we'll call them relationships - people ive gotten to know very well, who ended up saying "I dont think im a submissive after all", and more recently, confusion over what being a submissive means, or entails, or "how to act".

Suppose I am brand new to the planet, I know nothing of human behavior - So, whats this "submissive" I keep hearing about?
