The funny thing about languages and seemingly English in particular is the propensity for the definition of a word to shift over time. Normally this manifest in wonder what the hell some guy a hundred years is talking about but it's not all bad.
For example at one point calling someone a slutty slut wouldn't just demonstrate a lack of creativity. It would instead accurately describe a slovenly person of loose morals.
