It is not the encroaching darkness that is frightening. Or the fact no rage at the dying of the light or iron will can slow the dark's progress. But what frightens me is no matter how closely I examine it, how deeply I analyze the darkness, I can see no light and hear only one thing. The mocking question, "where is the lie?"
