The barbers strop is an evil little piece for dispensing pain, it is a slim and short leather implement for sharpening barbers blades. It has a stub handle and it is pocked with tiny cut marks from the old blades. I found one in an antique shop in London. Lillianne my French friend knows how to use it, it is her favorite item for beating me. The strop doesn't cut skin it compresses and bruises and causes very long periods of soreness. The soreness lasts for hours and often swells my backside , it is particularly evil when used on the thighs and sides of my back
