I knocked on the supervisors door and entered sir, can I get some clarification on these orders it says go to latitude and longitude and wait to be met by a civilian and follow his orders. Yes what do you not understand well sir what if he gives me a order that violates the law> do it with out question. But sir. No buts you will learn things that violate the rules but you will ignore these technical violations and in so doing you will find yourself on the trail like you want if however you report them or make problems for me or him you will spend the rest of your time behind a desk because I would rather you learn who your friends are and learn how to stay alive then lose you now do you understand.
I will be honest I was somewhat resentful of him before I ever met him. but as I got to the location I found it empty or at least I thought so when I heard movement to my left and this huge horse and wolf come out of nowhere and I here a gravely voice say are you Jill he responded to me to call him Jim that's all and to ride next to him. now maybe I missed him and the wolf but how I missed that horse and the five others with little carts I knew that he was either magic or just that good now I don't believe in magic. He looked at me and I never felt so interrogated and he hadn't said a word. He said I have done the lower end of my route and we are going to my ranch to pick up supplies and change your horse for something better just then my horse reared he garbed the rains pulled the horse down and said NO she finally noticed wolf and will not be happy till she gets to her barn. And don't ask me any thing till tonight. The horse did not rear again but was skittish all the way to his ranch.
At his ranch I was not expecting such a big place he did not strike me as the type I figured him for the run down shack type. It was there I found out some things about this man as harsh as he seemed he had love in his life and I was to learn over the next few weeks how much he cared for people. As we road in we were met by the stable hands and he told them to find a saddle horse for me and arrange for the return of my horse as soon as possible it has a problem with wolf. Just then this little woman came over to Jim and said this the new ranger how do you do call me Jane lets get you settled you will be here a few days while you get set for the route with sir. You call him Jim every one here calls him boss or sir I said I don't mind calling him sir he's old enough she smiled and said no dear he will tell you when and if you may call him sir. It was then I was introduced to sue and debs as his security people for Jane. I did as he asked and held my questions for that night I asked if I may let my boss know were I was she said he knew but call him anyway so he knows everything is fine so far. I was then introduced to Rita and she took me to the to my room and asked me what clothing I had with me when I told her just uniforms and under ware she said what size I was and shoes then said we dress for diner here so she will find me something when I said not to bother I'd just wear my uniform she said and get me spanked not likely, at the time I thought she was joking.
After my shower a woman came in with my saddle bags in on hand and a dress in the other she did not say a word to me just hung the dress and placed the bags on the bed, I noticed the outer bags had been cleaned and she left when she came back with shoes high heeled sandals she spoke for the first time she said I may call her maid and would get me whatever I need. She then asked me if I would like her to clean any clothes and hang them up later and if there was anything I wanted out of the bags first. She then explained that the dress was made meant to be worn with out a bra.
