I can't say why but something in that conversation with Sir James made my feel more secure less fearful of expressing to the lady Jane and Sir John how I was feeling. The book Jane had given me helped me understand and accept what I would eventually become and helped explain the lessons sir John was attempting to instill in me. You see in among the words of that book I later saw the lesson a gentleman is another name for a Dom. And it helped me see that there is reason For becoming a Dom the main overall reason is the Dom helps other grow and develop into successful human beings.
Now on to the two lessons this book helped me with this time Sir James left with a pack train of horses on his spring trip Sir john was helping me finish the upstairs of the barn to make it into living quarters for what I was later to learn was his sister and her life partner. he gave me a blueprint and told me this is the difference between man and beast a plan to follow a man he said needs a plan to build something weather its a structure or his life he needs a plan so he can change or adapt as needed. And thanks to Jane I was able to connect his lesson in building to building myself into a man the kind of man to be proud of for someone to look to and maybe model themselves like.
The second lesson I learned from the book and sir John was the trip sir James was taking I remarked that he had taken enough food ammo and other things like tools and medical things to live out there for years, John looked at me and explained he will leave those supplies along his journey Tim. Sir James makes this trip twice a year in the spring and the fall you see out there are survivors of his war and also this last one they are men and women that just can't readapt back to our ways of living they feel they are to dangerous to live with us and unfortunately they are right. We or I should say society can not understand what they have become you see the war any war changes people, it can help make them as it did sir James and me or in can change them to take to much humanity from them. But they know that they are dangerous but still help in there own way they are the ones that help the lost find there way back and a few fight a different war and try to stop the drugs that come out of the south and the money going back south most times they let the rangers handle it but sometimes they can't restrain themselves and stop them from ever walking again. So sir James brings out supplies because no one else will and the only thing the government will do is feed them drugs or lock them up and sir does not feel that is anyway to repay them for their service, since after all it was the service that made them that way. Now how does this relate to being a gentleman if it is a good book and not one geared to picking up girls you will find somewhere in it that part of being a gentleman is protecting and caring for those who cant. This is also one of the reasons Sir James uses this in his business model.
