Don't we control our life by making choices every minute of everyday?
What will I wear, where will I go, who will I see.
Then there is the reaction of those choices.
My coat was not warm enough, I loved going to the party, it was good to see John again. So we go through life knowing our fate.
But what if you decide you want to become a slave? Do you really want to give up the ability to manipulate your environment? Risking your fate for another's pleasure?
A slave should do this knowing that it's basic needs will be met. But that is all. Equality is nowhere in the equation. Your life exists only to serve at his/her pleasure. Nothing about you is within your realm. Everything is at the discretion of another.
