THE CAGE is run by a passionate group of BDSM enthusiasts, just like you! Some of us you know, others work behind the scenes. Our small team is dedicated to nurturing an inclusive and diverse community, filled with all types of dominants, submissives, genders, and D/s and sexual orientations.
Although we look great for our age, THE CAGE isn't the new kid on the block! Our sister site, thecage.co.il, was established in 2003, making us one of the very first (or maybe the first?) BDSM community of its kind. In 2016 we went international, bringing thecage.co to you. We hope you'll stick around and continue to support our community as we grow and thrive!
All staff members have a "bullseye" icon by their name along with the word "staff". These are the only staff members of THE CAGE. All other members are either "Premium" (paid membership with a "star" icon) or "Basic" (free membership with a "person" icon). No members outside of official staff have any special influence or administrative powers, regardless of their time on the site or level of activity. If you believe someone is falsely claiming to be a staff member please visit their profile and use the "report" button to confidentially alert our team.
THE CAGE is designed to provide an inclusive, friendly, and welcoming adult only environment for anyone interested in BDSM. We should all be able to express ourselves and explore our fantasies without fear or judgment. THE CAGE is a home for novices and experienced practitioners. It’s a place to learn, to share, and to find belonging. THE CAGE offers free (Basic) and paid (Premium) membership. You are welcome to remain a free member as long as you like. If it’s feasible, we hope you will consider financially supporting us by upgrading. THE CAGE is not run by big business, but by a small team of your fellow BDSM enthusiasts who want to ensure the survival and success of THE CAGE community for us all to enjoy. Instead of selling ad space or your information (which we will never do), we ask those of you who can to consider supporting us by upgrading. The monthly cost is little more than a fancy coffee at your favourite cafe. We are so worth it and even more delicious!
Subscriptions are the only source of income for THE CAGE. The more support we get, the greater service we can offer in return, allowing us to continue to develop the platform and bring you exciting new features. Your subscription fee also helps us promote THE CAGE to more kinksters from all over the world, ensuring the vibrancy and sustainability of our community.
We also understand that times are tight for many of us, and some months even the cost of a fancy coffee can be a luxury that is hard to afford. It’s good to know you can upgrade month by month and cancel at any time. Besides upgrading to Premium, there are other ways to support THE CAGE. Reach out to new members.
