You can change your account settings by clicking on "Preferences" under your name. You'll see options for general "info", "settings", and "privacy". This is where you can do things like change your password or your avatar (info), adjust your mail, sound, and notification alerts (settings), or adjust who can see your profile and blog or manage your blocked list (privacy).
For your safety and privacy never share your login credentials with other users.
You can “change your nick” in our Preferences section. Please note you can only do so every 30 days.
Your nickname will be rejected if it contains numbers or symbols. We've restricted some words we consider to be offensive or misleading.
We reserve the right to reject a nickname we determine to be inappropriate. A staff member may contact you if your chosen name is a concern and you will be asked to change it.
You can edit your relationship status in our Preferences menu. You may also wish to put your partner’s name in the “collar” field.
Generally, no. We will remove alternative accounts if we find them. Restricting accounts to one per member helps to keep our community authentic and is useful in controlling scammers, trolls, and others attempting to deceive our members. If you have a very good reason for wanting to create a second account, please contact us at support@thecage.co so we may assess the situation.
THE CAGE is strictly for personal interactions and we do not allow financial arrangements or promotion of commercial interests of any kind. In the future we may offer promotional plans for kinky friendly businesses so watch this space!
You can deactivate your account at any time in "preferences". Deactivation is a reversible action that allows you to take a break while leaving your data (such as your profile and blog) intact but hidden, ready to be reactivated anytime you are so inclined. If you wish to reactivate just sign back into the site.
You can also permanently delete your account in "preferences". We’ll be sorry to see you go but wish you all the best. Please note that for the safety of the community we require a 3 month “cooling off” period before your credentials (phone number and email) become available for reuse with a new account.
