Safety & Privacy

How to take control of your privacy and safely enjoy THE CAGE.

How can I keep my information hidden from search engines, bots and guests?

THE CAGE is designed to be open, friendly, and kink positive. Therefore, you won’t see invisibility options or ways to entirely hide your activity. This means you should always be careful to ensure that you are comfortable with what you are sharing, be it location, work details, and of course, photos. You can restrict viewing of your profile and blog to registered users only in your blog settings (blog) and in “Preferences” (profile). Registered users are individuals who have created a profile and verified a phone number in order to access the site. If you choose not to restrict viewability in this way, anyone visiting THE CAGE can view your profile and read your blog.

How can I safely share my personal information?

Common sense should always rule. Please use caution when posting personal content on your profile, blog, or when sharing information privately with others. Make full use of THE CAGE in-site mail system and chatrooms as well as our CAGE Video & Voice Calls (Premium) and BOND (Premium) instant voice and text messenger.

Stay inside THE CAGE and share more only when you are ready, making sure to never feel pressured or uncomfortable doing so. You're worth the wait!

How can I report a user?

You don’t have to tolerate being harassed or abused on THE CAGE. Visit a profile and click the “report” button to confidentially report a user. Staff will review each report and take action as necessary. We can all help keep THE CAGE safe and friendly by reporting rule violations and abusive behaviour.

Please note that frivolous or retaliatory reports may result in sanctions against the reporter.

What happens when I report another user?

Your report is sent to THE CAGE Staff for review. Moderation action will take place if deemed necessary. Moderation actions may include a warning, restricted access to parts of the site such as The Discussion Forum or Chatrooms, or may include a temporary or permanent ban.

For privacy reasons we do not discuss our moderation actions with other users.

What do I do if I've been reported?

You will only be notified if our staff feels a report has merit. Frivolous reports or reports for personal disputes will be dismissed without action. If our staff finds the report to have merit you may receive a warning or a restriction to your account.

Someone is asking me for money and gifts. What should I do?

We do not allow financial exchanges of any kind on THE CAGE. This includes soliciting for cash, gifts, gift cards, or pressuring users to sign up for subscription services. Please report these users and do not click on any links or offer any information.

Someone has sent me an unsolicited nude photo. What can I do?

Consent is important to us at THE CAGE and no one should have to look at graphic images without their consent. Please file a confidential report on any user who sends unsolicited "dick pics" or other nude images. You can do so by visiting their profile and clicking on the "report" button. Please note you can also block users you'd prefer not to contact you.

How do I block another member?

It’s easy to block someone with whom you don’t wish to interact. This is often the easiest way to resolve issues between members. Visit the relevant profile and click the “block” button. Blocked users won't be able communicate with you, comment on your blog, reply to your comments, or like your blog and forum posts, but they will be able to read your forum replies, blog posts, and public comments.

I've received a warning about a mail message from a potentially malicious user. What does this mean?

For your safety we automatically block messages from trolls and spammers who have been removed from the site. These messages may contain links to scam sites or other misleading information.

I am concerned for my safety. What should I do?

If you feel you are in real danger please do not hesitate to contact your local authorities. After doing so please contact our staff to inform us of the situation. Our reach only extends as far as THE CAGE but we will do our best to support any investigation and make sure you aren't harassed on THE CAGE.

Where can I find your Privacy Policy?

Our Privacy Policy is a must read for all of our members. Find it here.

Where can I find information about THE CAGE Code of Conduct and Community Standards?

Both our Code of Conduct and our Community Standards are a must read for every member. Find them here:

Code of Conduct, Community Standards

and at the bottom of each page.

Can I control who can send me messages?

You can manage who can CAGE Mail you or BOND Instant Messager* you in Preferences/Privacy or in your mailbox under Settings. You can allow everyone to contact you, Premium members only, or no one.

Please note our BOND instant text and voice messenger is a Premium only feature.

Is there any way to know if someone has read your CAGE Mail message?

No. For reasons of privacy and to create a more comfortable experience for all we do not notify users if their message has been read.
