Unlocking Fun: The Latest Locktober Challenge!

Ready to explore the fun that can be in had in Locktober? Wait, you don't even know what Locktober is? Well, let's fix that right away!

What is Locktober?

A great fit for those who love orgasm denial, Locktober is a month-long challenge that sees you resisting having any orgasms. That's really it: the challenge is simply to not cum during the entire month of October.

Most people like to pair this orgasm denial challenge with their love of chastity cages and chastity devices - though that's not required. Locktober can be a great "excuse" to challenge yourself to wear the chastity device all month long - though I don't recommend doing so if you've never worn chastity devices for long periods of time before.

Keep in mind that many challengers don't make it to the end of the month. Noting the day that you "failed" is common with Locktober, too, so don't feel bad if your good intentions don't make it all the way to the 31st. It's entirely normal!

The simple challenge of "don't have an orgasm" would be a little one note, though, all on its lonesome up in your head.

Instead, most of the fun of Locktober comes from its fun challenges and social aspects. Participants gather on social media (like here on The Cage!) to talk about how hard it is and how much fun they're having.

Participants also partake in challenges given by friends, websites, or dominants. These daily or weekly challenges keep the lack of orgasms at the forefront of the participant's mind, actually making it a challenge for the challengee to resist the urge to orgasm.

With that in mind, I'm going to give you four different, week-long challenges to really spice up your Locktober. Each week can feel different than the last - and you'll have to actively resist reaching down your pants instead of letting your lack of orgasms become background noise.

Week 1 Challenge: Start with Edging

Have you heard of "edging"? If not, let me introduce you. It's the idea of taking yourself to the "edge" of orgasm before stopping stimulation. Once you stop stimulation, you let your body naturally come back down from the edge of orgasm before starting to pleasure yourself again.

In this way, you can get close to orgasm again-and-again without actually having that orgasm. You get all of the good, overwhelming sensations of getting near that overwhelming pleasure point - but you don't actually have an orgasm, allowing you to continue to enjoy yourself, again and again.

On day 1, start with 5 edges. Each day this week, add on another edge, until you end with 12 edges on day 7.

Remember: after every edging session, you don't get to orgasm. That's the point of edging in orgasm denial: you continually ramp up your sex drive, but you never get any "relief", continually adding to the frustration.

This will really amp up your sex drive for the rest of the month. I hope you like a challenge. ;)

Week 2 Challenge: Try New Things

This week, you're going to commit to trying one new sexual or kinky thing each day.

You get to choose exactly what that "thing" is. The only requirement is that it be new to you; you can make this as ambitious or as chill as you'd like.

Some examples might include:

  • Masturbating with a different hand
  • Touching yourself with a new toy or using a toy in a new way
  • Trying a ball gag
  • Masturbating to a full-length movie
  • Sleeping in (safe!) bondage
  • Masturbating in a new place in your home
  • Wearing a butt plug to the grocery store
  • Giving nipple clamps a try
  • Writing erotica

Remember: every day, you'll have to try something new. You never know what you might fall in love with until you try it!

Week 3 Challenge: Practice Your Humping Skills

This week, you're going to practice your humping skills. Not only does this give you a nice full-body benefit as you work up a sweat, but it also gives you some additional staying power in the bedroom. Plus, you might find yourself surprised by how much you enjoy the sensations of it!

Every day this week, for 15 minutes, you're going to hump or grind into a soft, comfortable surface. If you're wearing a chastity cage, you may need to make this a soft pillow to avoid pushing the cage uncomfortably into your body. If you're not wearing a chastity device, feel free to hump or grind against any surface that feels pleasurable. ;)

The physical stimulation of humping added to the simulated sex movement can feel like a pretty powerful aphrodisiac. It's almost like sex...but not quite. Not for you, Locktober-challenger. ;)

If humping or grinding isn't a viable option for you, you're going to use your hand, over clothing, to pet or stroke yourself for 15 minutes each day instead.

Week 4 Challenge: Porn Overload

This week, we're really going to test your self-control.

This week, you're expected to spend at least 30 minutes every day looking at erotic content. If you like porn videos, choose those. If you like to read erotica, go with that. If you're someone who simply likes to get lost in fantasies, you can always lounge back on your bed and fantasize for that half an hour.

You'll find that constantly sliding all of that erotic content into your head is going to keep your sex drive buzzing strong.
