As a lifestyle female dominant who is less inclined to the porn version of femdom and more into feminist femled relationships, I've had my issues in the past with the concept of 'pay for play'.  But over time my attitudes towards pro domination have changed. Pro dommes are often community leaders and educators, guardians and guides for intrepid kink explorers, and even political activists preaching sex and kink positivity.  Perhaps it's time for a pro-domme image overhaul, although I have no desire to sanitize away the kinky fun.  Maybe pro-dommes deserve more respect and credit than they've been getting.  What are your thoughts about how pro-domination is perceived? Do you think helpful for lifestyle dommes and the kink community in general?

The "Pro" in Pro Domme

I agree whole heartedly with your perspective; unfortunately, the Pro Dommes that are good to great are hard to find. A great Dominatrix is at once a choreopgrapher, pychotherapist, actress, business person, technician and artist. Frankly there are too many who are lazy and or do not know what they are doing either because of lack of experience or training. It is one reason I avoid the dungeon factories in cities like New York. I have more often been disappointed than pleased with pro Dominatrix sessions and would make a case for saying that the best ones are also lifestyle. At the end of the day a great Dominatrix is worth the money because of her experience, investment in toys and outfits and ability to connect with one.
