I don't think that disobedience (and the punishment thereof) is the only way to display an exchange of power.
If I say "Get me a cup of coffee," in a high-handed authoritarian tone that doesn't sound at all like a reasonable request made to an egalitarian partner, and my partner responds "Right away sir," drops what they're doing and leaps to fetch my coffee--I feel like power exchange is being pretty clearly displayed there! And yeah: I personally love to see and feel the intentional inequalities in my relationships on a regular basis. I love to demand obedience just to prove, yet again, that my partner will obey, and to enjoy the experience of it. But I have no need for them to fuck up and have to be punished, and I don't mind at all if they do it right the first time without needing training. |

I'd be curious to hear from more doms on this. As a sub I have my own mind for sure but I also prefer to immediately comply with a task asked of me. I honestly don't understand why that line is added in unless they want a brat? Just my .02 |

But as I said, I would comply with requests, just in a way they don't expect because I'm said to be "cute as a button" and would get away with it. Such as when vacuuming the floor. .. and one more off topic before I get yelled at...
An oldie but goodie that actually worked. The Saran-Wrap over the bathroom bowl trick. This was years ago when I did live with someone of the D persuasion. They never pay attention... They just whip it out, take a wizz... and this time the "lemonade" ended up everywhere, even on the dude's shoes. Well truth be told I couldn't sit down for a couple days after that, but it was worth the stream of curses coming out of the bathroom and a few "Miki Come Here!" orders after the cussing stopped. Those were the days. I was frankly surprised that old college prank worked. |
