Not so fast, Master Baiter.. (with varying levels of due respect for ya, buddy)
I am constrained to strongly disagree and side with the Mouse Talon, at least in part. -Forget not the Long Haulers! People with all kinds of shit to deal with months after the virus is supposedly gone... -Nor ignore the fact that the "99.xx" chance of surviving" is overstated, especially in light of the spread of the far more vicious variants. -Above all, one never knows whether they'll be OK or end up "peering" at the inside of the ultimate Sad Sack: A body bag, with dead eyes that won't stay closed. ++++++ This is NOT a plan of action I would recommend to anyone, even the small but notable group of shit-heads I deal with from time to time on my daily walk of life. In my state, which is not perceived as a 4th wave hot spot, young, healthy, even athletic people in the 20-40 bracket have died from this shit. ----------------------------- Get vaccinated? Yes of course! You bet your left ass cheek I will.... But it can't be made to sound like one is simply going to fill up the gas tank or get a pound of butter. Here we have an extensive and well oiled "vaccine delivery infrastructure" But a lack of vaccines. A lot like Homeless Depot advertising they opened 8 new stores "Right in your home town"-- but you go in and some dorky looking, bald-headed zero grins at you with his crooked yellow teeth, "Oh we don't have anything on the shelves yet, but we're open! My Name is Clyde. Welcome!" ------------------------- I pre-registered the day I was eligible... last Monday, and was given a rough estimate of 4 to 6 weeks before I "might" get notified of the opportunity to book an appointment by the official Commonwealth of Assachusetts Vaccine Website. And of the vax supplies they expect to receive per week, "x" are earmarked for the all-important second dose. Getting the first but not having any available within the time line for the second... is nothing short of a mess. They have to set those shots aside. ------------------------ So, in all friendliness, Master Meat Puller, people need to stick with Plan A. Sign up, wait your turn, and stay the fuck away from gatherings. Go out only when you have to, and when out don't talk to anyone you run across. ....and also skip that asinine elbow bump. To do so is in violation of the social distancing rule-of-thumb. 6 feet. ----------------------- Besides, any 2-legged ass-crack whose shoulder-to-elbow reach is 3 feet or more.. is a knuckle-dragging ape-man (or woman) not worthy of a dirty look, let alone an elbow bump. Now then, Master Blaster... Smile! You been thoughtfully Bratted. |

Eh... Miki, never will we be at a point where you can step out your front door and be 100% safe from every single threat the universe has to offer. Including viruses and serial killers...
But with vaccinations, masks, social distancing, acquired immunity... We are starting to reach the point where some people (even the responsible ones) don't want to play pandemic anymore... Honestly I know many people will downright miss covid. They might not admit it but there are tons of people that are loving this mess... |

I miss clubbing so much and yet I don't miss it at all, lol. Here are some tips I hope you find helpful.
* Be nice and confident - don't look like a target or you may end up getting harassed. If you can find a cool group of people to join go for it! If your up front with them they might take you under their wing and buy you drinks. * Tip your bartender well - they will respect you and getting a good rapport going just helps keep the good vibes going. * As a woman I hate it when my natural high of dancing is being interrupted by a guy or girl, drunk, desperate, and attempting to touch me without consent. Please never be this person. * Try different bars. I don't tend to like college bars because again, a lot of harassment goes on. Goth clubs are very chill, respectful and fun. Higher end clubs in casinos can be worth the money because the feature famous DJ artists. * Don't drink too much, especially if your going alone. That's a no brainer with safety of course, but you will be kicked out it you get sick. Don't forget to drink water and eat food to avoid getting sick at the club. * Take a lot of breaks to breathe fresh air. Hope these tips help you out! Have fun and be safe!

Wear loose street clothes....try to put your "costume" under your clothes or under a coat....I usually wear a black breakaway trousers...
