Hi,
I'm relatively new to this lifestyle and would like someone to talk to about it and get advice.. I'm not looking anything sexual or a Dom so please hold off thoes kinds of messages.

Looking for a mentor might be as difficult as looking for a Dominant, actually. Be careful who you chose.

In the meantime you can read some tips and advice here, on forum. You can also look at some helpful websites like http://www.submissiveguide.com/ or http://kinktoychest.com/index.php/castle-realm-archives.

I agree with both of the previous responses. Read as much as you can to continue learning while you look. Read profiles and talk to as many different people as you’re comfortable with. I always acknowledge advice given by many, with respect, however there are very few that I go to to seek advice for what I would consider important matters. It’s a matter of finding those you know will give guidance with your best interests at heart. You’ll notice I say “those.” I find it invaluable to have more than one perspective when I’m seeking information. Good luck

If looking for a mentor try to find one that’s on your side of the slash of your gender who you won’t sleep with and they won’t try to sleep with you.

I suggest that you read profiles of other female submissives on here. Find those who have.or are seeking that which you want. Find philosophies that you agree with and people who sound like they've been around for a while. Once you find people like that, leave them a note about what resonated with you and ask if they would mind answering questions. We all started somewhere and are happy to pass on the favor or keep others from making our mistakes.

I would advice against a male Dominant as a mentor, although many are wise. However, there are honestly some who offer mentoring as a way to take a submissive off the market without taking responsibility and groom her. Trust your instincts.
