TPE for me is something that exists between the morality of the Dominant and submissive or Master/Mistress/slave. Each person's respect for enjoying the exchange is only between them. Likely each have enmeshed in a healthy way to be able to, trust and to speak to and address, vulnerabilities healthily.

TPE is not "winner takes all" it is an Exchange for a reason. There is agreement already in place mentally and physically and socially. The amount of TPE involved and the boundaries established are noted, pushed, and administered with consent (even in extreme cases of CNC or blackmail fetishes).

TPE is an invite to say, "You are developed enough with me to do with me as you please based on our continual agreement of how we have established our connection and how well you know me. Most importantly, if you know how to read me."

TPE can include everything along with agreeing, to no limits. But it is a mental ven diagram to always consider on both sides and together.
