I like that smooth slick feeling when my tongue runs over them after brushing.

You are right, good dental health affects your overall health.

Mexico would not work for me as it would cost me more to get there than the visit itself. Although I'll be in Phoenix tomorrow till next Monday. Thursday and Friday in Sedona then back to Phoenix for a few days.

Okay, porcelain crowns are $450. (I have two gold ones my dentist wants to replace ... yeah I'll keep the gold) She will take Delta insurance so I pay half. That's very inexpensive. I'm in Colorado right now, but even if I lived here, I'd go to my dentist in Mexico.

She speaks English. She's in Agua Prieta MX , right across the border. She's awesome. Dental tourism is a thing. Lots of people go to Mexico for dental work.

That's cool. I had no idea it was popular to go to Mexico for Dental work. My dentist's revised charges were $900 a crown. When I said I didn't want a bridge. I've haven't had any trouble eating so why mess with a good thing.

I think it depends on the reason why there's issues with teeth, if I take myself for example, I'm terrified of dentists to the point of fainting there, so it's always a havoc going there. If there's a medical reason or something similar to it, I don't really judge someone for it. If it's genuine neglect of the person's own body, that's different

Childhood dental trauma here!! I just finished up 7 months of getting everything fixed to get my million dollar smile back. I am Indigenous. I swear all the dentists that covered Indigenous peoples dental in Canada were complete sadists up until the 80s/90s. I remember him always asking if it hurt in this creepy tone and smile in his eyes. Like he got off on causing pain to lil Indigenous kids. After he pulled 2 teeth out with out freezing because he wanted to go for lunch was the last time I stepped foot into a dentist office, I was 13. It took working with a counselor for over a year. Now I go skipping into the dentist office just because they are that empathetic, supportive and understanding with no judgement what so ever.
So, I definitely don't knock someone for a missing tooth or 2 but major halitosis, you are getting gum tossed in your mouth!! lol

I have several dental issues due to homelessness, malnutrition, and depression. Yes, I am absolutely embarrassed by it. I would absolutely love nothing more than to get implants. However, they're still prohibitively expensive for me currently.

It's one of my biggest insecurities, truth be told.

I noticed that TEMU has options for missing teeth. Look into them for inexpensive alternatives. I've used them several times for different products and was happy with my shopping experience. If you are still homeless you may have to figure out a shipping address though.

WOW! I'm glad that your dental experience has changed for the better. My last dentist (retired now) was very sensitive to any pain his patients were having. He would even stop in the middle of his treatment and give you more Novocaine if needed.

I would agree that if a person has the means but just neglects their dental health then that would be a red flag for me. Living on SS like I do, I often have to raid my IRA to pay for costly things beyond just normal living.

I wouldn't trust anything off of Temu to do anything but break. And...obviously that's the last thing I'd need/want with replacements. Once my living situation is more stable and I've gotten my life reigned in a bit better, I'm certainly looking more into it. Until then, I kinda don't care. If that's a deal breaker for someone, then that's they're loss. Not mine.

And not at all sorry for having that opinion...🤷‍♂️
