Is masturbating daily considered hyper-sexual?
Is desiring sex on a daily basis considered unusual?

I was surprised recently to be (casually… not as an insult) called “hyper-sexual.” It’s not something I would have particularly associated with myself personally, because I’m not constantly thinking about all things sexual. But it did come as a bit of a shock to realise that maybe my “normal” is considered a bit much by some people’s standards.

So, what is your “normal”?
And how would you define “hyper”?

"Normal" is an over-used and highly subjective term that I came to ignore decades ago.

Once a day too much for some? ? None want to know a what count makes a good day for me.

[Fear not, I do take the occasional day off. Guess I'm not totally off then wall.]

When it comes to self gratification, as far as I'm concerned... how many or how often is none of anyone's business.

However, when "hypersexuality" leads to harm being done to others, either by non-consensual sexual contact or even spanking the bishop in public---then there's a problem.

But if no one is physically assaulted or has to see someone pulling their meat or rubbing one off out in the open, who the hell cares? Those whacker-trackers can go scratch their optionally hairy cracks.

What is normal? Don't even know how to answer that. A lot of people that are considered abnormal in this society are because they have extraordinary gifts and talents. I have a young Cello Student right now… She's 10 years old. And she's bright and talented, effervescent… I feel bad for her because I know that because of how gifted and brilliant she is, people are going to be trying to shut her down her entire life, because she doesn't fit into their definition of "normal "

I think the thing to do is to always strive to be kind to the person that we meet and are talking to. For normal sex? Damn, I think you're talking to the wrong group. We're all here because we're not in what called the norm of sexuality. And yes, what we do can lead to hyper sexuality. I know it does in me at times, but I really think it's OK as long as we're not harming others.

Be your own kind of ‘normal’. Don’t put yourself in a box.

I’m pretty sure most people don’t carry a pocket vibe with them, but I do. If I have to wait too long, dentist, doctor, any time I get bored lol

I could be conservative in my estimate, but why?

I don’t feel hyper-sexual. It’s just me and I’m okay with that.

Perhaps as long as one doesn't go blind . . .

Although I did lose sight in one eye! Whoops!!

But on point, as long as it's not out of "your" control. And by that I mean, if you cannot control yourself on the typical day, that might be outside the norm. (I do appreciate how Miki coined it above)

Someone else telling you that they consider you to be hyper sexual probably means they might just be a prude. Or have a limited drive. Maybe many of us are just healthy and normal and embrace our appetites.

It all depends upon the day and whether I'm conserving my energy for tasks ahead.

Is the term "normal" off the table for us anyway? It's all personal. There is no such thing as "normal". Who should be the right role model?
